At Clyde’s Market we participate in three major charitable events each year.
We take great pride in the fact that each year our Donations exceed the previous year’s total giving’s. All of the credit for this success goes to our customers, and our staff. We are very fortunate that God has blessed us with the best of both.
MDA’s Shamrock promotion is the first one of the year. We kick it off at the first of February, and run it through St. Patrick’s Day. This year was our best one yet, raising $16,586.62. 100% of the proceeds go to the MDA organization.
Our second event of the year is our biggest event of the year; it is our Benefit Golf Tournament. Our major beneficiary for this event is Fort Stewart, and Hunter Army Airfield 3rd ID. They have been on the front end of this event for the past 6 years. Within these 6 years we have donated over $150,000.00 to the 3rd ID. This year’s event fell in step with our MDA event; it was our best one yet. We raised $85,000.00, and after expenses we had $74,000.00 to give away. Some of the recipients are as follows, The 3rd ID, The Joseph Home for Boys, Paul Anderson youth home, The Pledger House, The Sunshine House, New Beginnings in Christ, The Glennville Rec. Dept., The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Southern Christian Sports Devotional, and several local Academic Scholarships.
Our Third event for the year is for the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. This event occurs in October, and this past October’s event was no different than our other 2 events. We raised $11,310.80 this past year. Once again this was the top of the scale for us.
All total we raised over $112,000.00 for well deserving causes. We are very proud of the hard work and great effort that our staff put forth for these events. Not to mention the participation of our customers. Without the joint effort from these two groups, none of this would be possible. We at Clyde’s Market believe that God has allowed us to be successful for several reasons, this is one of them. Thanks to all!
